Free for individuals, state schools, and charities in the developing world.
We want to help students in community schools get the most out of their IT. So our manuals are free for all state and supplementary schools. Feel free to download and copy them. We would love to see our manuals being used in schools across the UK, and beyond, to help students - especially those in deprived communities - increase their IT skills.
So please copy as often as you like for use with staff, students or even local parents. We would only ask you to pay for a licence if you are using the manuals on external courses for which you are charging a fee.
You may alter the cover of each manual and brand it for your school. You can also extract any pages you want, and combine in different ways. But please note that these manuals remain the copyright of Happy Computers and this must remain on each page.
Please do tell colleagues in other schools. The more people using our manuals, the better.
The same rules apply if you're an individual, or working on behalf of a charity organisation from the developing world - our manuals are free!
Private Schools
Any school which charges for students to attend must pay the full commercial rate for a licence. (Sorry, but we exclude you from the charity rate.)
The only exception to this is in countries where students pay to attend all schools. In this case, provided you are a state-funded school, you are eligible for free use.
FE Colleges and Universities
We're sorry but the free offer only extends to schools. If you work at an FE College or a University, please check the licence cost. We hope you will agree that it's reasonable.
